Welcome to the 2008 Elite Basketball season!  If you are interested or know of of a top player who may be interested in joining the Minnesota Stars, please contact us immediately. We are currently looking for the best players in the state in the 11U - 19U age groups.  Brad Hested or Tim Hested.

The 2007 season for the Minnesota Stars elite girls basketball program was one that continues to build on our strong tradition of providing the BEST opportunity in the Midwest for players interested in playing college basketball.  Our goal is not to go to the most exposure tournaments, our goal is to go to the best events in the country.  Year after year the adidas events that we attend attract the top talent and top Dl coaches in the country,  We will have over 35 players from our 2005-2007 rosters go on to play college basketball with full ride scholarships at the Dl and Dll level.  If you are interested in joining the fastest growing list of kids going on to play college basketball from any AAU program in the state of Minnesota, please contact Brad or Tim Hested @ bhested@charter.net or thested@charter.net for openings on any of our teams for next season (2008).

Here are just a few of the exciting things that happened within our program in 2005-2007:

-The Minnesota Stars 16U High School Eligible team won the 2005 AAU State Championships, it was coach Tim Hested's 2nd State Championship at the 16U level in 3 years!  The 14U and 19U team finished second in the state, and the 13U finished 3rd in the State.

-Our 13U and 14U teams quickly earned reputations as 2 of the top groups in the state in their age divisions.  The next 2-3 years will be exciting watching these teams grow.  The 15U team is loaded with quickness and athleticism.  We look forward to watching these kids develop over the next year.  Players off the three 16u teams will form the nucleus and join forces with the 15U teams to form a couple of the best 16U and 17U teams in the state for 2006.

-The Minnesota Stars coaching staff is second to none.  Great High School coaches, a Hall of Fame High School Coach, and a passion to give the best instruction possible to the best players in the state of Minnesota, makes the Minnesota Stars coaching staff special.

Minnesota Stars is an organization dedicated to providing quality basketball for girls in the state of Minnesota and surrounding areas.  We are in our 7th year as an Elite Girls Basketball Program.

The goal of the Minnesota Stars is to give the opportunity for quality female athletes, to showcase their talents in front of hundreds of college coaches throughout the spring and summer.  We believe that this type of exposure gives each girl the best possible chance to improve their game and to receive a college scholarship.

Our Goal is match Desire with Opportunity for every girl in our club.

We are an elite, traveling basketball program.  Our program is highly respected by high school coaches, club coaches, recruiting services, and college coaches across the country.  We play in highly regarded exposure tournaments and shootouts throughout the USA that are very well attended by college coaches.  Everyone of these tournaments will be premier exposure events and give our players the "edge" in getting noticed and recruited by college coaches.
