Directors and Coaches

The Directors of the Minnesota Stars are Brad, Tim and Ron Hested. Brad was one of the founding directors of the Minnesota Stars and has several years of coaching experience at the elite AAU level.  Tim Hested is the founding director of Hoops 101 Basketball Schools, and has several years experience coaching at the elite AAU level.  Ron Hested provides valuable insight and experience to the Stars team.  His 35 years of head high school coaching experience provides steady leadership to our program.  Our goal is to provide the best AAU experience in the country to the girls that are in our program.

Brad, Tim and Ron also run the Stars Scouting Service - a recruiting guide for college coaches that accurately rates the top 100 players in the state of Minnesota.  The Stars Scouting Service also organizes and runs two top exposure events.  The adidas Mid American Women's Basketball Championships is a premier national tournament during the July "live" recruiting period, and the adidas Stars Shootout every September, a one day "live" event with top Dl and Dll college coaches analyzing over 175 players.

In the last 5 seasons we showed that hard work, quality coaching and top talent can lead to outstanding success on the basketball court.  With the partnerships of All Star Girls Report, adidas, and the Stars Scouting Report the Minnesota Stars elite basketball program offers young women the best opportunity to take their game to the next level and become a top college basketball recruit!!!
