Elite Program

Minnesota Stars Invite Teams:  15U – 16U - 19U

Minnesota Stars Elite Teams: 15-16

We cannot invite everyone and there is tremendous amount of talent in Minnesota we want to give the opportunity to those that want to be a part of an elite program. Elite teams are formed through invites and tryouts in March 2006.

Elite Team goals are (15U-16U):  (1) Gain exposure to college coaches across the nation (2) Develop every player’s skills (3) Play against the best players in the country. (4) Develop the ability of our players to make an impact at the college level.

Playing with the Minnesota Stars Elite Teams (15, 16, and 17’s) you will:  (1) Play in front of at least 200 college coaches at every adidas event and gain immediate national exposure.  (2) Play against the top players in the country, 200 plus Division I players at every adidas events.

Minnesota Stars Development Teams:  11U - 12U - 13U - 14U

We will be having 2 teams per age group in 2009. We do not want turn away very good players that want the chance to become a better basketball player. These teams will be formed through tryout in March 2009

The Development teams will concentrate on individual and team development. These teams will play in Minnesota AAU events and the best local tournaments and 2 regional tournaments. These teams will be prepared to play at a very high level in the future.

Goals of the Development Teams are:  (1) Individual improvement and development  (2) Team success (3) Participation to help each athlete prepare to play and compete on a "national" level.

Minnesota Stars 15U, 16U, 17U Elite Teams and 18U AAU teams are invitation only. To be considered contact our office for further details. The Development Teams are formed by tryout.

The Minnesota Stars Program Fee: 15U - 16U - 17U - $900 per Player.  The fee will cover tournament entry fees, coaches salary, practice facilities, and other administration costs.  Players are also responsible for all travel costs.  For the 15U-16U-17U Elite Teams, a $300 deposit is required by January 10, 2007, with $300 due by March 10, and the balance due by April, 20 2007. 

The Minnesota Stars Program Fee: 11U - 12U - 13U - 14 - $600 per Player.  The fee will cover tournament entry fees, coaches salary, practice facilities, and other administration costs.  Players are also responsible for all travel costs.  The

Minnesota Stars Program Fee: 19U  $475 per Player.  The fee will cover tournament entry fees, coaches salary, practice facilities, and other administration costs.  Players are also responsible for all travel costs.
